Alumni Weekend traditionally brings Augusta University’s alumni community together to relive old times and make new memories with classmates, family and friends. The marathon of events is scheduled for April 26-28, and registration is open.

Over the course of the weekend, numerous alumni banquets for the university’s colleges, schools and organizations will be held throughout Augusta, but three featured events in particular are open to all alumni, their families and friends.

Three featured events everyone is welcome to attend are the President’s Brunch, Pamplin Pop-ups and the Alumni Weekend After Party. The President’s Brunch is especially significant this year as it will be the last one hosted by AU President Brooks A. Keel, PhD, as he is set to retire at the end of June.

President’s Brunch

11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 27

Location: J. Douglas Barnard Amphitheatre, Augusta University Summerville Campus, 2500 Walton Way

Rain location: Christenberry Fieldhouse, 3109 Wrightsboro Road

The President’s Brunch is a casual, family-friendly event with food and activities for alumni. Admission is free and includes plenty of food and activities for children.

Pamplin Pop-ups

Noon to 2 p.m., Saturday, April 27

Location: Guard House Museum, Mary S. Byrd Gallery, Ceramics Lab, Augusta University Summerville Campus, 2500 Walton Way

Pamplin Pop-ups are free activities that provide alumni an opportunity to visit with students and faculty as they work in the ceramics and sculpture facilities, view student work at the Mary S. Byrd Gallery of Art and explore the Guard House Museum after the President’s Brunch.

Alumni Weekend After Party

9 p.m. to midnight, Saturday, April 27

Location: Augusta Marriott, Oglethorpe Ballroom, 2 Tenth St.

The Alumni Weekend After Party is a casual event for all alumni and their guests featuring live music and dancing. Admission is free, and The Tony Howard Show will play music from a variety of genres including dance, country, hip-hop, blues and oldies.

In addition to the featured events open to all Augusta University’s alumni, another highlight of Alumni Weekend is the opportunity to honor Distinguished Alumni and Outstanding Young Alumni in each college and in Athletics.
